Iranian Currency Redesign
Project Background
The Iranian Currency Redesign project gives the country’s banknotes a fresh, modern look while honoring its rich history. Each bill features a famous mythological creature on the front, symbolizing strength and wisdom, and a well-known Iranian plant on the back, representing growth and prosperity. The design includes unique patterns, clear color differences for easy recognition, and advanced security features to prevent counterfeiting.
The Process
I carefully chose each element to blend tradition with a modern feel. Mythological creatures like Simorgh and Ghoghnoos represent Iran’s deep cultural roots, while plants like saffron and pistachio highlight its natural beauty. The colors help distinguish each denomination, and the typography makes the numbers easy to read. Special details, like textured elements for the visually impaired, add both function and style, making the design meaningful and practical.
